Welcome To Mid Life, What Will
It Be... An Affair Or A Sports Car
Life can really have some tough
moments, can't it? We all start out having to do virtually
nothing at all. Of course that's with the few exceptions of
eating, and sleeping. Not exactly brain surgery is it? Then
comes school. Although it's rather simple in the beginning, it
tends to get a little tougher as each year passes. Once we've
completed imperative, many of us are off to college. This is
when we all get a taste of reality. Suddenly we're doing
difficult academics and grappling with bills and student loans.
It can get pretty hairy, but we party a little and make it
through just fine. Finally it's time to experience the full-on
grunt of things. The adult world is now in our face. It's time
for the spouse, the house, and the 2.3 children. Hey, don't get
me wrong; this is the best part so far if you ask me. Then a
little later down the road, the kids are finishing up with high
school, and you're probably hitting the 40s. It's definitely mid
life crisis time. So what's it going to be; an affair or a
sports car? I would definitely go with option number two.
What is with the whole mid life crisis thing anyway? Why do you
suppose folks always have to have them? Well, I will definitely
offer my perspective on this issue. I believe it all comes about
do to age. You hit the 40 range and suddenly realize that your
life is about half over. So now what? You basically assess your
particular situation. Are you happy in your relationship? Hey,
maybe you are; however, you may start to assume that you could
be a great deal happier. In this case, you may as well not waste
what little life you have left on the relationship you suddenly
question. Sound about right? Furthermore, you'd better find a
younger partner this time. After all, you need someone to make
you believe that you're suddenly 20 again also. Wow, does the
mid life crisis thing sound pathetic yet? Hey, guess what; it is
rather pathetic. Maybe it's time to stop and do some informative
reading on the infamous mid life crisis dilemma before you make
any rash decisions.
Is it time for your mid life crisis yet? I'm mostly talking to
all you men out there. Are you suddenly feeling old and antsy?
Again, consider all aspects of this dilemma before you make any
extreme changes in your life. Who knows; you may already have it
pretty good.
